Vita

Seit April 2014 ist Dipl.-Ing. Francisco Gutiérrez Guzman wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Maschinenelemente und Systementwicklung (MSE ehemals IME) im Bereich Tribologie. Im Rahmen seiner Forschungsarbeiten beschäftigt sich Herr Gutiérrez Guzman hauptsächlich mit der Klärung von Schadensmechanismen an Wälzlagern. Zu seinen Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören die Bildung von weiß anätzbaren Gefügeveränderungen, insbesondere von White Etching Cracks (WEC) und Neuhärtung. Darüber hinaus beschäftigt er sich mit technischen Schadensgutachten von Wälzlagern.

Im Dezember 2016 übernahm er die Leitung der Forschungsgruppe „Wälzlager und Freiläufe“ am MSE. 2017 gründete Herr Gutiérrez Guzman das Research Task „Drivetrain and Generators“ im Rahmen der European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) und leitet diesen seither.

In der Vergangenheit betreute Herr Gutiérrez Guzman außerdem die Freilaufprüfstände sowie den Planetengetriebeprüfstand des Instituts. Im Fach Tribologie betreute er die Themenbereiche „Eigenschaften des Zwischenmediums“ und „Tribosystem Zahnräder“. Damit war ein weiterer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit die Entwicklung neuartiger Freilaufkonzepte und die Interaktion zwischen Schmierstoff und hochbelasteter tribologischer Kontakte.

2008 bis 2013 studierte er Maschinenbau an der Technischen Universität Dresden. Seine Schwerpunkte waren „Entwicklung und Analyse von Antrieben“ sowie „Mechatronische Antriebssysteme“.

Die studentischen Arbeiten absolvierte er bei der GKN Walterscheid im Bereich Hybridfahrzeuge und bei der Harmonic Drive AG mit dem Schwerpunkt Laufversuche von kleinmoduligen Verzahnungen. Im Fraunhofer Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Umformtechnik (IWU) war er als studentische Hilfskraft in der Abteilung der generativen Fertigung tätig.
