Vita
Basim Uweis, M. Sc. RWTH, studied at the RWTH Aachen between 2014 and 2019 „mechanical engineering“ with the specialization „Development and Design“ and from 2020 until 2022 as master student „product development“ with the specialization „Drive Train Engineering“. Mr. Uweis developed a semi analytical algorithm to preliminary design conical plain bearings for wind turbines during his master´s thesis.
Mr. Uweis works since April 2023 as research associate at the Chair for Wind Power Drives in the area of „component design“ and, as part of this activity, is involved in the application of Model-Based System Engineering methods (MBSE) for tidal stream systems.
