Vita
Jörn Christian Harling, M.Sc. RWTH, studied Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in “Development and design” at RWTH Aachen University from 2015 to 2021. As part of his bachelor's degree, Mr. Harling wrote his thesis on “Concept validation for the machine production of multiwire-stents with atraumatic ends” at the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen. Following his bachelor's degree, he completed a master's degree in "Product Development”, which he successfully completed in 2023. His master's thesis, titled “Development of a axial-radial compliant tool system machine-integrated fine machining of tool steel”, was written at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology.
Since May 2023, Mr. Harling has been employed as a research associate in the field of bearing technology at MSE, where he focuses on studying premature failures of rolling bearings used in wind turbines.
