Vita

Daniel Cornel, M.Sc. studied from 2012 to 2014 at the RWTH Aachen University in the Master's program "General Mechanical Engineering". The focus was on the fields of design, materials science and machine dynamics.

Since April 2015 he has been working as a research assistant at MSE (formerly IME) in the field of tribology/bearing technology. Currently he is working on the monitoring of rolling and plain bearings using condition monitoring systems (especially acoustic emission). A further focus of his research is the investigation of early rolling bearing failures in connection with white etching cracks.
