Wei Yu, Ph.D. studied Mechanical Engineering and graduated as “Bachelor of Engineering” at Qingdao University of Technology, China, in June 2010. Afterwards, she completed her studies as “Master of Engineering” at Chang’an University, China, in June 2013.
In December 2015, she graduated with a Ph.D. in Engineering on the subject “Vehicle Operation Engineering” at Chang’an University, China. During her doctoral study, she joined the tribology group of Imperial College London, UK, for 14 months.
Afterwards, Ms. Yu worked at Qingdao University of Technology as a lecturer for two years before moving to Germany.
Since January 2019 Ms. Yu has been working as a scientific assistant at the MSE in the field of bearing technology. Her research area covers the measurement and prediction of working conditions in plain bearings.
