Vita
Wilko Natzel, M. Sc. RWTH, studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University until 2021, specialising in "design and development" with a study visit to CVUT Prague, Czech Republic. He completed his subsequent master's degree in product development at RWTH Aachen University with his master's thesis on the topic of "Brownfield Part Identification of Metal Components for Economic Additive Manufacturing".
Since June 2023, Mr Natzel has been working as a research assistant at MSE in the Systems Engineering - Design Methodology department. He is involved in the FunkDAF project, which deals with functionally determined component design for additive manufacturing. His research focuses on the development of a model-based process for optimising component design.
In addition, he is co-responsible for the module "Model-based product development" in teaching.
