Franziska Wieja studierte bis 2019 Maschinenbau mit der Vertiefungsrichtung Entwicklung und Konstruktion an der RWTH Aachen University. Ihre Masterarbeit schrieb sie am Institut für Maschinenelemente und Systementwicklung (IMSE) zum Thema „Modellierung eines humanen Unterkiefers zur mechanischen Auslegung eines 3D-gedruckten, resorbierbaren Kieferimplantats“.
Seit Mai 2020 ist Frau Wieja als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am IMSE im Bereich Systems Engineering – Design Methodology tätig. Hier erforscht sie modellgestützte Methoden zur Gestaltung und Auslegung von Maschinen und Anlagen.
