Vita
Franziska Wieja studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University until 2019, with a specialization in Development and Design. She wrote her master thesis at the Institute for Machine Elements and Systems Engineering (IMSE) on "Modelling of a human mandible for the mechanical design of a 3D-printed, resorbable jaw implant".
Since May 2020, Ms. Wieja has been working as a Research Associate at the IMSE in the field of Systems Engineering - Design Methodology, where her research focuses on model-based methods for the design of machines and technical equipment.
