Jan Niklas Schmitz studied mechanical engineering with the specialization in “Product Development” at RWTH Aachen University until 2021. He wrote his master’s thesis at the Institute for Machine Elements and Systems Engineering (MSE) on “Systematic development of cost models for additive manufacturing and implementation in SysML“. Since November 2021, Mr. Schmitz has been working as a research associate at the MSE in the department of Systems Engineering – Modelling and Simulation.
