Stephan von Goeldel, M.Sc. completed his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in „Energy Engineering“ at RWTH Aachen University in 2016. In 2018 he completed the Master degree program with the same topic at RWTH Aachen University. In his master's thesis, he determined the effects by track replenishment on the lubricant supply of grease-lubricated rolling contacts using CFD simulations.

Since 2018 Mr. von Goeldel has been working as a research scientist in the department for Tribology at iMSE. As part of a research project, he is focusing on the fluid-free lubrication of rolling contacts. This includes, above all, investigations of the lubrication effect and the structure of polymer transfer films in highly loaded rolling contacts.
