Systems Engineering - Design Methodology
Design determines the majority of the costs of a product. The design of technical solutions, however, is a largely creative process whose outcome depends heavily on the talent and the experience of the designer. The great responsibility with respect to product quality and cost are thus at the same time diametrically opposed in terms of the ability to sufficiently influence them.
Systematic design offers effective support in the product development process. It describes the basis for methodical development and design of technical systems and their elements.
